Fun Factor: 10

The Jaguar F-Type P450 R-Dynamic is a stylish, powerful sports car that confers a thrilling driving experience. Performance-wise, it features a 444-horsepower 5.0L supercharged V8 engine that can accelerate from 0-100 in just 4.6 seconds. The engine's responsive and aggressive acceleration will make any drive feel exciting, and its smooth handling, combined with a well-tuned suspension, make the F-Type P450 an excellent car for winding roads or the track. The AWD system gives another layer of confidence when road conditions deteriorate. In an innocuous way, the F-Type doesn't start its trumpets in fanfare. You can turn those exhausts on with a button switch to hear them blare at their full depths.

The Jaguar F-Type was designed to be practical and visually stunning, especially in this British Racing Green. The exterior is sleek and aerodynamic, with an aggressive stance that exudes confidence and power. The car's low profile and wide body make it look like it's hugging the road, while the sleek lines and sharp angles give it a modern, sporty look. The attention to detail in the design is evident, with subtle touches like the sweeping LED tail lights and the bold front grille adding to the car's visual appeal.

Can it Family: 2

Regarding seating, the F-Type P450 features two seats with ample headroom and legroom; they're 12-way adjustable and heated to drive in frosty conditions. The seats are supportive and well-cushioned, in a mix of leather and Suedecloth which ensures many hours of comfort behind the wheel. The interior of the F-Type P450 is also equipped with high-quality materials and a modern, sophisticated design. It has enough space for a car seat, but you'll need to play around with the rear tether. You will also have enough room for a small stroller in the trunk. So if you don't want to compromise on the fun, the F-Type is one heck of a sports family car.

Fuel-Friendly: 4

The average fuel economy we observed over our 400km was 15.7L/100km; city-wise, we saw an average of 16.2L/100km. The best result was on the Hwy with an average of 12.7L/100km. Jaguar announces 12.7L/100km as a combined result, 15.2L/100km in the city and, for the Hwy, 9.8L/100km.

Karaoke-Friendly: 8

The Meridian™ Sound System has 12 speakers and an amplifier in its premium configuration, as tested. The 770 watts system sounds warm and rich in such a small vehicle. But the base Meridian™ 10 speaker is quite reasonable. The infotainment interface is clear and intuitive, but many features hide within the menu. In Jaguar fashion, a screen malfunction occurred twice where the screen blacked out, and only after turning off the vehicle completely did the infotainment work again.

Baby-Friendly: 2

As mentioned above, you can have a car seat, but the installation is painful; due to the vehicle's lower stance and rear anchor ports requiring kneeling to adjust everything, then having to push the seat forward and back without damaging the car seat or the dashboard.

HWY-Warrior: 8

On the Hwy, the Jaguar F-Type is infused with what we call wizardry. Yes, the F-Type is pure magic on the road, to the point that it's almost inexplicable. It's stable around corners; even when the road is uneven, the chassis barely gets upset and swings through the tight corners. Often people ask us what cars we enjoy driving the most, and the F-type is quite high on the list.

City Cruising: 9

One of the standout features of the F-Type P450 is its advanced safety technologies. The car has many features that help keep drivers and passengers safe, including advanced driver assistance systems and a 360 backup camera. These safety technologies, combined with the car's responsive handling and braking. It can fit in tight spots.

In conclusion, the Jaguar F-Type P450 faces stiff competition in the sports car market from Porsche and AMG, but it holds its own with its unique combination of style, performance, and luxury. Whether you're looking for a car for the track or a weekend getaway, the F-Type P450 is an excellent choice for drivers looking for a vehicle that delivers an outstanding driving experience close to magic.

Why would we buy the Jaguar F-Type, or what we liked about it?

Is pleasant drive may be one of the most interesting in this segment. The exhaust notes and the balance that the vehicle offers driving it. The trunk is power operate using the key fob.

Why would we not buy the Jaguar F-Type, or what did we not like about it?

Reliability? Jaguar still needs to demonstrate this; however, the F-Type is the 2nd most reliable vehicle in their lineup, if that means anything. The driver visors are so small they could have removed them entirely; tinting this area might have been more effective.

Jaguar has lent us this vehicle as a press vehicle. We have no affiliation with Jaguar Canada. The above reflects our personal opinion.
